Spruce & Madagascar Rosewood
SoldTraditional Concert Classical Guitar
This concert classical guitar is built with Madagascar rosewood back and sides and a select aged Italian spruce soundboard. Madagascar rosewood is valued for its beauty, strong overtone spectrum, and excellent projection characteristics.
The body resonance is tuned low (around F), contributing to a strong air movement and enhanced bass support without sacrificing clarity. The sides are doubled with alder, increasing structural rigidity and reflective efficiency. This construction gives the instrument greater projection, increased overall volume, and improved note definition.
The guitar is designed for high responsiveness and efficient energy transfer. Its relatively light top allows for quick reaction under the fingers while maintaining substantial headroom for demanding repertoire.
Tonally, the instrument offers a strong fundamental supported by a rich and well-organized overtone content. The bass register is deep and controlled with good separation between voices. The midrange remains focused, while the trebles are clear, sustained, and even across the fingerboard.
The guitar provides excellent projection and easily fills a concert hall, maintaining clarity and articulation at distance.
It is fitted with hand-hammered Alessi tuning machines, providing smooth, precise tuning and complementing the instrument's high-end build quality.
